Hello and welcome to my personal website!
My name is Atoosa Parsa and I'm on my way to becoming an AI scientist!
I obtained my B.Sc. in computer hardware engineering from University of Tehran. During the last year of my studies, I became interested in Artificial Intelligence and decided to continue my education in this field. I pursued my career at the Machine Intelligence and Robotics group in my university and received my M.Sc. degree, ranking first in my class. In my master thesis, I worked on developing a design methodology for determining suitable morphological parameters in a compliant quadruped robot. After my graduation, I continued my collaboration as a graduate researcher and got involved in several ongoing projects at our laboratory. Check out my Research tab for detailed information of my work.
Nothing excites me more than a challenging topic and a non-conventional view point to existing problems. After trying different career paths, I came to the conclusion that I want to be a professional researcher in the AI field. I joined Morphology, Evolution and Cognition Laboratory at the University of Vermont in fall 2019 and I am currently pursuing my PhD in Complex Systems and Data Science under the supervision of Professor Josh Bongard.
I have a wide variety of academic interests including but not limited to:
- Biologically Inspired Methods
- Legged Locomotion
- Soft Robotics
- Evolutionary Robotics
- Morphological Computation
- Machine Learning
- Machine vision
Please feel free to look around and drop me a line for any research collaborations.
