Atoosa Parsa

I received my B.Sc. in computer hardware engineering from the University of Tehran. During the last year of my studies, I became interested in Artificial Intelligence and decided to continue my education in this field. I pursued my career at the Machine Intelligence and Robotics group and received my M.Sc. degree, ranking first in my class. In my master's thesis, I worked on developing a design methodology for determining suitable morphological parameters in a compliant quadruped robot. After graduation, I continued my collaboration as a graduate researcher and got involved in several ongoing projects at our laboratory. Check out my Selected Works for detailed information on my research.

Nothing excites me more than a challenging topic and a non-conventional viewpoint on existing problems. After trying different career paths, I came to the conclusion that I want to be a professional researcher in the AI field. I joined the Morphology, Evolution, and Cognition Laboratory at the University of Vermont in the fall of 2019 and am currently pursuing my Ph.D. in Computer Science under the supervision of Professor Josh Bongard.

I have a wide variety of academic interests including but not limited to:
